English:
In November 2020, the second picture book "La historia del arca de Noé tal como me la han contado a mí" (the story of Noah's Ark that I know) was released in Spain!
Q1. What kind of children's book is it?
A. This children's book is based on the story of the famous "Noah's Ark", but the stage is the bathtub. And the ship on which "Mr. Noah" rides is in the shape of a toilet, making it a very unique book.
And there are two main characters, one is of course Mr. Noah, but the other main character is this little boy →
It is a story that this boy goes on a story with very small Noahs who live in the bathtub while playing in the bath.
Q2. Why did you set the bathtub as the stage?
A. The original story of Noah's Ark is a very large scale, in which a great flood occurs and the world is flooded, but I was wondering if this could be expressed on a smaller scale. It all started when I thought it would be easier to imagine, and I realized that the story of Noah's Ark could be almost reproduced in the bathtub.
Q3. What are the highlights of this book?
A. I think the number one is the world of this bathtub and the imagination of the boy who is the main character. Also, the paintings that took more than half a year to draw in detail, the strangely shaped animals and Mr. Noah with an interesting appearance are also highlights.
In this video, we'll take a closer look at how long it took to make it and what influenced it. Please take a look at this as well. And now only Spanish and Catalan versions have been published, but I would like everyone outside of Spain to take a look at this book.
